Handmade rugs offer excellent durability. They can be cleaned and repaired almost infinitely and should last a lifetime. Quality cleaning will not only prolong the life of your rugs and carpets but will help to restore the colour and lustre to its former glory. We recommend rugs, carpets, tapestries, or textiles to be expertly cleaned every 3-5 years depending on the use and the amount of traffic they bear in order to preserve and maintain their appearance, condition and over all structure.

Our team of rug cleaning and restoration are highly experienced in deep cleaning of all types of rugs and carpets. Our cleaning process is as follow:

Dusting Stage:

At this stage we use a large beating machine that gently vibrates the rugs and carpets to take out all dusts, dry soils, grits, and moth eggs among other things out of the piles. This stage is the most important part of the washing process. It is important to remove all dry soils before wetting of the rugs & carpets take place. This is to prevents dust and dry soil forming a hard cement like substance inside the foundation.

Wetting Stage:

At this stage rugs & carpets are fully wet in a wash bath and scrubbed front and back using specialist shampoo and conditioner. The rugs & carpets are now fully rinsed with clean water to remove all traces of detergent.

Water Extraction Stage:

At this stage rugs & carpets are placed inside a specially designed centrifuge which spins at high speed to remove most of the water and leave the rugs & carpets only slightly damp.

Drying Stage:

At this stage Rugs & carpets are hung in our drying room, using industrial fan, low heath, and an industrial dehumidifier to fully dry the rugs & carpets, this process normally takes up to 24 hours, depending how thick and deep is the pile. During drying, the pile and fringes are set using a soft brush.

Finishing Stage:

At this stage rugs and carpets are thoroughly vacuumed and beaten again to remove any remaining soil & grit. Fringes are neatened, rugs and carpets are sprayed with a mothproofing solution and the final inspection is carried out before the rugs and carpets are made ready for collection or delivery.
